2008: A Fresh Start

    

For nearly 15 years, Hartsfield's first Santa Claus organization, the Amalgamated Order of

Real Bearded Santas (AORBS)

 inspired the Christmas Community with their legendary Annual  Santa Luncheons in Southern California.

     These events,  which attracted HUNDREDS of professional Santas and Mrs. Clauses each year,  were nearly lost forever when Hartsfield  turned over control of AORBS to a Board of Directors that was ultimately corrupted a pair of individuals who seized control of all assets and spirited them away.  That noble fraternity saw 90% of its membership RESIGN EN MASSE in protest-- leaving those two scoundrels to rule an empty kingdom, amidst scandalous debts and governmental injunctions...

   As did several others in the Santa World, Hartsfield responded to this sudden vacuum in the Christmas Community by creating A NEW Santa fraternity-- and his International Order of Santas stepped up, along with our sister group which replaced AORBS, the Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas (FORBS), to ensure that those luncheons would continue for years to come!!!

     When the time came, and Hartsfield decided to hang up his Jingle Belt for the last time, he turned to another well-known fixture of the professional Santa World, Santa Ric Erwin of Laguna Niguel (another SoCal Santa, and a Founder & Leader of FORBS) to continue his legacy.
